Elena Merino - Westwood Pharmacy Discount - Miami, FL

[Re: As my butt has fallen] You crack me up! Well done!

Vicky Pestrichelli - Inspiration University - Sunrise, FL

[Re: Doll smashing] Amen, Robin. When my daughter Holly was home this summer we talked about you. You got the shiznek going on, woman. You take no prisoners for sure. We love your writings. They always hit home. Never give up!

Richard G. Ferris - The Kempf Team Realty - East Tawas, MI

[Re: Insights on living—I think not] I think youth is wonderful and beautiful. I think "aging" is wonderful and beautiful. And your company name doesn't confuse me. I immediately knew that your work had nothing to do with a product for the body—but perhaps a product for the soul!

Deborah Angiolina, CPC, ELI-MP - Merkabah Coaching - Miami, FL

[Re: Bring yourself to the table] You write beautifully. I enjoy your emails. Really glad and consider myself fortunate for meeting you at Boulder at the Natural Foods Meeting. Keep up the wonderful writing.

Smita Patel - VP Global Product Development - Coca-Cola - Atlanta, Georgia

[Re: An excused life] Beautiful article. Thanks for sharing.

Deborah Angiolina, CPC, ELI-MP - Merkabah Coaching - Miami, Florida

[Re: No ordinary moments] Amazing timing, as I was just mentioning to people the other night that the wonder of time slowness of my childhood returning has been one of the greatest gifts of this new way of living. It is particularly noticeable when one does not wear a watch, as I have been doing for countless years now.

Geoff Gordon - Miami, Florida

[Re: No ordinary moments] Great! The slowing of time indeed requires practice. Sitting in my recliner without TV, music, or people, in complete silence, I do feel "the stretch" towards a quite wisdom. Wish that was possible at thirty!

George L. Fernández - President - Saint Claire Design - Miami, Florida

[Re: When I grow up] I really enjoyed "When I grow up." I guess that is why Senior Softball has grown so much over the past twenty years. Keep your insights coming.

Al Schneider - Active Lifestyles - Senior Softball Camp - Boynton Beach, Florida

[Re: Tit for tat] I laughed out loud at this one!

Kenneth Shelby - Somers, New York

[Re: Tit for tat] Your writing took some guts!

Ernest Sochin - Sochin Enterprises - Cutler Bay, Florida

[Re: Tit for tat] Boy, business coaches sure have evolved! You seem to be having fun with it. As a responsible spokesman of an alternative viewpoint, I think you look great and are great. Your outlook, as I can deduce from the whimsy in your writings, is probably still your "biggest" asset.

George L. Fernández - President - Saint Claire Design - Miami, Florida

[Re: The end is in sight] That must have been tough to write. Wow. Emotional . . .

Ernest Sochin - Sochin Enterprises - Cutler Bay, Florida

[Re: Heart songs] Just wanted to know that your writing continues to strike a beautiful chord inside me.

[Re: Soul-throttled] Loved it, Robin . . . fear should be our friend to help us overcome, grow, and be happy. Instead, it holds most people back. Thanks for this one - it was great.

Betsy Fisher - Warner Norcross & Judd LLP - Grand Rapids, Michigan

[Re: Soul-throttled] Right on Robin! Darn, girl, you're coming up with some pretty good 'stuff.'

Dave Schwartz - Longboat Key, Florida

[Re: We were once] Robin, you have a beautiful writing voice!

Andrea Andrews - Atlanta, Georgia

[Re: Compassion is the working side of love] I have witnessed much compassion in my world. I think you have to show it in order to receive it . . . A very thoughtful post.

Christine Geery - Salt Lake City, Utah

[Re: Compassion is the working side of love] Teaching taught me much about compassion and it's a virtue sorely lacking in today's political world. Great post.

Gary Czerwinski - North Carolina

[Re: Nope. Life aint fair.] I love this post for many reasons. It makes me think of parents who tell their children that they are the brightest, the most beautiful, smartest,(mom & dad let them win at every game they played) and the most talented beings in the world. One day reality strikes and these poor souls get stomped on and lose the spelling bee. It's really hard for them to learn that life ain't fair and that it is a good thing. Some never do and are very unhappy people their whole lives. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I know what I'm trying to say, but I'm just on my first cup of coffee.

Christine Geery - Salt Lake City, Utah

[Re: Nope. Life aint fair.] Love this, Robin; especially the section on 'the balanced life . . .'

Dr. Gayle Carson, CSP CMC - Miami Beach, Florida

[Re: Nope. Life aint fair.] Good one!

Windsor Gooden - Miami, Florida

[Re: Life is a 'yes' or 'no' kind of deal] Inspiring article; I wish I could do the same.

Elena Merino - Miami, Florida

[Re: And so a new year . . .] Your writing is excellent and you are always on point. Fortunately or unfortunately, I too, am getting older. But like it or not, it sure beats the alternative.

Dr. Jeffrey Kane - Miami, Florida

[Re: 'Presbyopia'-what the heck is that?] I love your presbyopia email. My husband has a "holding device" for his magnifying glasses and gets in a terrible muddle with it when it gets tangled up with the phone, the chihuahua or changing clothes etc, it's a wonder he hasn't hung himself years ago!

Vivien Dockerty - Malanda Queensland, Australia

[Re: 'Presbyopia'-what the heck is that?] Are you crazy? Please use a larger point size when publishing about "Presbyopia". Here's a tip from someone who's been there . . . Get real bifocals. Then you never take them off, and won't drive yourself crazy(er) looking for your glasses.

John Weiss - Andover, Massachusetts

[Re: 'Presbyopia'-what the heck is that?] I "see" what you are saying . . . Loved it.

[Re: One of those mornings] To live an extraordinary life according to the wise and spiritual, you have to let go of conflict and give life your full attention. Good job! I loved it.

Rita Fosse - Kendall, Florida

[Re: I don't want to!] The article really resonates because for me because, regardless of your political beliefs, it skewers all those fat cats who are so adamant that they don't want to pay for anyone else's health insurance, ignoring the fact that others, who choose to be healthy, are being forced to pay for their health insurance.

Rupert Seymour-Newton - Independent Health Insurance Broker - Palmetto Bay, Florida

[Re: I don't want to!] Wow! It's really, rightfully in your face, kicking butt about so many issues including overindulgences, victimhood, giving away our power, selfishness, nonresponsibility, among others. interesting road we're all on . . .

Jeannie Weiss - Weiss Wellness - Miami, Florida

[Re: I don't want to!] Another nail hit on the head, I have a lot of overweight friends who says it it too hard to loose those extra pounds and would like to send them this, I may anyway, because I love them and worry what is coming down the road . . . Thanks, Robin, for your forthrightness!

Rita Fosse - Kendall, Florida

[Re: And we are magnificient] That brought tears to my eyes.

Darlene Southey - Social Net Links - Kendall, Florida

Robin, thank you so much for your website. At 66, I don't see a lot of people my age, due to the fact I am 96% homebound because of my health. After reading every part of your website I just had to write and tell you, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart and God bless you.

Linda Davis - Ft. Myers, Florida

Robin

Really enjoyed reading your message. All my best to you and your mother as well.

Becky Matkov - Dade Heritage Trust - Miami, Florida

Robin

Interesting message. As we march, hopefully not limp, through post 50's and beyond, Your message made me think . . . In my late teens, still remember working for a guy, who's answer to thinking was "Once a man thought and he fell in a pile of s***!" Lovely!! Hopefully, as we march forward, our thought process matures. In many areas, mine didn't! BUT . . . in many areas it DID! So, here I am in the time frame of [curmindgeonhood] So, maybe it's a good thing!! Whoever came up with that "we get too soon old, and too late smart" should get a kick in the nuts! LOL!

Quite often, songs come into my mind when thinking about something, good, not so good, whatever. But am surprised when they come forward to provide a backdrop for a thought. So, this AM, an old song from the 40's came forward "You've got to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, Latch on to the affirmative, Don't mess with Mr.In-Between!"

Have a good day!

Pete - Miami, Florida

Robin

I could not agree with you more! It upsets me greatly when people, doctors, family members insist, because of getting on in years, people cease to exist as individuals and merely puppets doing what they are told. I personally, G-d and body (mind, too) willing plan on being on the tennis courts, gym, going to the movies, traveling, etc. well into my so called "Golden Years!" It is when we give into our age and listen to others rather than ourselves that we become old and fragile. It is not necessary, nor is it right. The mindset of all human beings must adjust to the increasing "shelf life" of people today!

Love you Robin and GREAT ARTICLE!!!

Stacy Heller - Miami, Florida

Awesome & funny Robin; thanks, I needed a laugh.

Elena Merino - Miami, Florida

I look forward to being a curmudgeon! It's a life goal!

Oh Robin . . . how great!!!

Love the S&M one . . . how true. I cringe whenever I'm "Ma'am"ed and want to say . . . I'm not that old and I'm not done! Actually, I want to say, "f*** you!!! I'm not that old!" A very funny perspective on the difference of views between men & women!

Old Cool . . . gave me goose bumps. How beautiful and how true. Wow. I'm going to get Uncle Stew Francke's email address for you. I think he would love to receive this from you, Robin. As you've probably heard, he is not doing well and his days are fewer than we would like. Him, too . . . I'm sure. Think he would LOVE reading this from you . . . it would mean a lot.

I always have "story" ideas roaming in my head . . . so you may hear from me sooner than later.

Great stuff you are doing. Thanks so much for the great wisdom and writing . . .

Hi Robin,

[Re: 'You can't put an old head on young shoulders'] This most recent email of yours reminded me - in a roundabout way - of the poem I read aloud at my son's Bar Mitzvah.

Kenneth Shelby - Washington D.C.

Robin,

[Re: Falling in love] I really like this one!! I was introduced to this concept earlier this year. I will save this one . . .

[Re: Where have our heroes gone?] LOL! Always right on target Robin!

Elena Merino - Miami, Florida

[Re: Where have our heroes gone?] Well, we see heroes every day. It take great courage to look at oneself and acknowledge the failing, foibles and follies in the mirror and still go out into the world and face it. You're my hero for having the courage to go out and put yourself on the line day after day, sharing your "insights."

Gerry Tizziano - Miami, Florida

If you guys have not subscribed (free) to Robin's newsletter, maybe you should look at it. She is always looking at things squarely in the face and truely writes some great stuff that makes me think about things I have not throught about in some time.

Darlene Southey - Social Net Links - Kendall, Florida

Robin,

[Re: Where have our heroes gone?] Just wanted to say I enjoyed your newsletter note - well written and so very true . . .

Dan Lane - Ashville, NC

Robin,

I just read your "Where have our heroes gone?" excellent article, thank you for your insight!

"Where have our heroes gone?" I too believe they are still here. This past weekends "Restoring Honor Rally" in Washington has restored my faith in my fellow man and women of course. The rally was attended by many thousands of people, it was conducted peacefully, with respect for one another and they cleaned up after themselves, quite heroic I would say! I plan to post your article on my website so others might feel inspired! Thank you!

Robert VanName - Vice Mayor for City of Doral - Doral, Florida

[Re: Where have our heroes gone?] You are absolutely right. We are a nation of narcissists.

Carol van Ginkel - Miami Pain & Recovery - Miami, Florida

Hi Robin,

[Re: It's the newest thing] You are right on! I had exactly the same experience last week at Staples. I couldn't find the paper clips, other than multicolored and striped. I went to find help and was led right back to the multi-colored, striped ones. I was puzzled by the fact that the standard, professional clips were no longer carried. Maybe, I reasoned, it was because it is back to school season. I was momentarily irked because they were more expensive. I paused and then with a sigh thought, "Oh well, a little whimsy never hurt anyone". I happily picked up a box of cheerful multicolored and striped paper clips and checked out of the store.

Saturday evening as the storm clouds gathered, I put my index finger on my power window switch and pushed to lower my passenger window to say "bye" to friends. Simultaneously there was a loud WHAM and the window falling down inside the door with a clunk. I tried to raise it and heard the motor whirring, but to no avail. I rushed around like a mad woman to complete my errands as the sky turned black and started to rumble. I was scurrying home when the storm caught me. Quack! Because one little plastic brackett and a wire broke, I am having to by a complete package including a new motor! Whatever happened to roll up windows?

I really enjoy your humor and your words of wisdom. You are a fun friend!

Carroll Paige - Carroll Paige Travel, Inc. - Miami, Florida

[Re: It's the newest thing] My first car a 1930 Model A Ford Tudor Sedan Had a pushbutton start, And you had the option of cranking it by hand if the battery was low. It was without a fuel pump because Henry Ford was bright enough to locate the gas tank high so fuel was fed by gravity.

Al Powell - Miami, Florida

Hi Robin,

Just enjoyed reading your "the newest thing" piece! Thanks, and looking forward very much to future newsletters!

[Re: What is 'really' going on?] Robin, this letter I received Sept. 22, you hit the nail right on the head. I have almost quit watching TV because of the stupid shows they have. Normally I watch only the cooking channel now due to the crap other channels show. I am hoping that if enough people do the same, someone will wise up. Thank you for all your letters.

Linda Davis - Ft. Myers, Florida

[Re: What is 'really' going on?] Loved your article on reality TV shows . . . I so don't get it either.

Nancy Dewar - Hampton, New Hampshire
